Annie Terrazzo ~
Annie Terrazzo has been creating trash portraiture for almost 5 years and has sold over 400 paintings in that time. Her first art project, called "Art Is Trash" was born in 2001 when one of the screws in Annie's brain became loose and fell onto a canvas. It then began a long and illustrious career, on the street begging for beer and cigarettes ever since. This art mainly focused on creating portraits made with found objects. "Detritus", Annie's recent artistic endeavor and is made completely out of Newspapers from around the world. Why the trash you may ask? Annie on occasion finds herself in the street at 3a.m. looking for materials for her work... oh, you mean figuratively? Oh. Well, Annie thinks Art is taken too seriously, especially by people who make it. She is inspired by the likes of Ralph Steadman, strippers that don't speak English, box tape and expensive champagne.
